Championship Racing Format
The races will be governed by the World Sailing Racing Rules (RRS 2025–2028), with safety and competitiveness at the forefront. Expect strategic maneuvers, nail-biting finishes, and a true test of sailing skills against the backdrop of the Bay of Bengal.
Daily briefings, course layouts, and results will be shared via the official regatta communication platform. Events also include welcome and closing ceremonies, cultural evenings, and networking sessions for sailors, coaches, and supporters.

Opening Ceremony
The regatta kicks off with a grand opening ceremony to welcome all the sailors to Chennai. It's a formal event attended by sponsors, government officials, members of the armed forces, sports personalities, celebrities, and the media. This gathering sets the tone for the event and offers a great networking opportunity. Sponsor invitations will be given based on their level of participation.
Spectator Boats
For those who want to enjoy the thrill of racing up close, spectator boats will be available. These boats are fully catered and allow sponsors to host guests and clients in a unique setting—right on the water. They'll have front-row views of the race starts and finishes, making it a memorable experience.
Closing & Award Ceremony
At the end of the event, a grand celebration will be held to congratulate the winners and bring the regatta to a close. The ceremony will include prize distribution, live entertainment, delicious food, and refreshments. Once again, invitations and access will be based on sponsor levels, and the event will be attended by VIPs, media, and government officials.
